Although the actor did not reveal the title, he intrigued fans with his first look at the upcoming project. Going by the looks, it is sure to take the fans back to when Amrish Puri played the villainous role of Mogambo.

With a multitude of critically acclaimed roles under his belt, Anupam Kher continues to captivate audiences with his acting prowess and unwavering passion for the craft. On July 13, the actor took to Instagram and announced his 539th movie and called it India’s biggest multi-language fantasy film. The first look featured him in an unusual priest sitting on a throne with colourful ethnic attire, sporting multiple pieces of jewellery and holding a spear in his hand, while his throne is packed with huge snake designs.

He shared the look and wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT: My 539th film is! not based on mythology or any of our great epics. But certainly India’s biggest Multi-language fantasy film and you know the subject very well. The makers will announce the details on the 24th of August! In the meantime.

Soon after he shared the picture, fans were reminded of Amrish Puri’s character as Mogambo from the film ‘Mr India.’ One of the fans commented, “Amresh puri ki yaad a gai” while the other fan wrote, “Mogambo Khush Hua.” A third user wrote, “Mogambo sequel.”

In a new feat, Anupam Kher will play Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore in his 538th project. Taking to Instagram, he dropped a video of himself as Tagore and looked unrecognizable. In his note, he mentioned that he will reveal more details about the film soon. Anupam expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to bring Tagore to life on the big screen and assured his fans that he will share more information about the film soon.
